Carolyn started WLBC knowing her first week of camp would be spent on family vacation--not only did she meet prior to vacation to weigh in but she also worked hard to keep exercise and nutrition on her vacation list of priorities. Talk about commitment! Carolyn's sister Lauren just finished AmpCamp, so the two are a duo of motivation and can be still seen sweating together @ Fusion.
Total lost: 28lbs, 5in from hips, 4in from waist, and 6.5in from chest. She shed 30 seconds from her mile, her pushups went from 36 (10 on toes) to 56 (26 on toes!), and her situps went from 32 to 60. Way to go Carolyn!
Misty was a great, positive force in this group. She battled through some knee issues which she tried to blame on age--but we all agree she can't be a day over 25 :). She has 2 kids in college playing Division One sports, and can now honestly say she can relate to the intense workout schedule they endure.
Total lost: 15.6lbs, 4.5in from waist, 5in from hips, 3in from chest and 2in from thighs. Situps went from 24 to 40, and an already impressive 32 pushups (15 on toes) bumped up to 50 ON TOES! "Now when my son says 'you have no idea how sore I am from practice' I can say, 'Oh honey, I sure do!' He told me they have guys on his team (K-State Basketball) that can't do 50 pushups in 1 minute, so that makes me feel pretty good. Like Super Mom!"
Andrea came ready to work hard and run fast--her athletic background helped her self-discipline and motivation for herself and the other women. "I was tired of having to buy new (bigger) clothes and Spanx to hold in all my bulges--now I'm back into my skinny jeans and don't have to worry about my gut or muffin top hanging over when I wear form-fitting shirts!"
Total lost: 16.1lbs, 2.4in from hips, 2.25in from waist, and 2.25 from chest. She knocked over 2 minutes off her mile run, increased situps from 31 to 40, and improved pushups from 32 (10 toes) to an amazing 54 ON TOES! Wow!
Lourie came in ready to stick to the plan, eat right, and get results--and her dedication paid off. She is proof that the scale is often not our best judge of results--while we battled those stubborn numbers, her pants were practically falling off! Her strength, both physically and mentally led to major improvements in her core strength and endurance. Way to stay committed Lourie!
Total lost: 10.8lbs, 4in from hips, 3.25 from waist, and 2.5in from chest. Pushups went from 13 (1 on toes) to 19 (4 on toes), her situps improved from 5 to 30 (!) and she improved her mile run from 17 minutes to 13:20. That's almost 4 minutes off--congrats!
Kristin has been on a mission for a while now. Before starting WLBC she had already lost close to 100 pounds on her own and with various trainers--she came here for a kicker after hitting a rut with the same pesky numbers coming and going. Her determination and positive energy added a great deal to our group bond, and through the 12 grueling workouts a week I never heard her complain once--even after doing two Fusion classes back to back at one time--ouch. She is already committed to the next WLBC in January--2013 is her year!
Total lost: 52lbs, 6in from hips, 6in from waist, 6in from chest, 2in from her arms, and 2in from her thighs. Pushups increased from 31 (5 on toes) to 50 (20 on toes), situps went from 30 to 38, and her mile improved by a minute and a half to 11 minutes!
Lane is another woman who had great success (lost 90lbs prior to WLBC) on her own and came to us to kick it into the next gear. She pushed herself every workout--ran faster each time and challenged herself each class. She's building muscle, increasing cardio endurance, and eating right--her body is changing dramatically. She will also be joining her friend Kristin in the next WLBC. Way to stay on top of it!
Total lost: 25lbs, 2in from hips, 8in from waist, and 6in from chest. She crushed her mile by 5 minutes --now down to 9:31!
